In memory of Ann Buchanan, eldest daughter of John Buchanan born 1824 - 1898. She loved the lord and tried to serve him faithfully and her life as daughter, sister and friend was loyal, loving and exemplary. Erected A.D. 1883 in memory of John Buchanan & wife Ann, both natives of Kilmuir Isle of Skye Scotland whose bodies rest here. They were among the earliest settlers in Baddeck and by their lives exemplified those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report.
