I am interested in finding out some information on my ancestry . My ultimate goal is to determine if there is a relationship between the last Ronald Wilbert MacNeill(#7 on MacNeill from Isle of Barra list) and Perley William MacNeill(#8 on MacNeill from Argyllshire list). These men resemble each other as much as twins but we have not been able to link them through the MacNeill line. Could there possibly be another connection? Could you help me in solving this? Ronald is my brother. I will list both ancestral lines as far back as I know them. MacNeill from Isle of Barra parents of Eoin MacNeill ???? 1.Eoin MacNeill (born in Scotland in 1750) 2.John MacNeill (born in Scotland in 1796) married Sarah MacKinnon (lived in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia) 3.Lauchlin Angus (born in Cape Breton) married Mary MacLean (from P.E.I.) (they lived in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia but following Lauchlin's death in 1863, Mary took their 2 children, Sarah and Lauchlin and returned to P.E.I.) 4.Lauchlin Angus MacNeill married Eliza Penny (Lauchlin born in Cape Breton and moved to P.E.I. at age 6 yrs. following his father's accidental death) 5.Harry MacNeill married Elizabeth Ann Jordan (both born and lived on P.E.I.) 6.Wilbert MacNeill married Roma Bell (both born and lived on P.E.I.) 7.Ronald MacNeill (born in 1947) married Barbara MacLeod (lives on P.E.I.) MacNeill from Argyllshire 1.Malcolm MacNeill married Euphemia McAllister 2.John MacNeill married Margaret Simpson (both born in Scotland and immigrated to P.E.I in 1770 .) 3.David MacNeill married Mary Dockendorff 4.William MacNeill married Mary Helen MacKie 5.Artemus MacNeill married Sarah Jane Bradshaw 6.William MacNeill married Daisy Hopwood 7.Raynall MacNeill married Helen Rix 8.Perley MacNeill married ? (born in 1940's and lives on P.E.I.) I would like to acquire information from Scotland. Could you suggest some sources to reference? It would help to discover the parents and grandparents of Eoin MacNeill. I wish to investigate if Eoin MacNeill (from Isle of Barra, Scotland) and John MacNeill (from Argyllshire, Scotland) were related even though they appear to be descended from independent lineages. Could John MacNeill's father, Malcolm be a relative of Eoin's? Could there be a MacNeill from Isle of Barra who married a MacNeill (or MacNeill descendent ) from Argyllshire? I would also like some information on Eoin's children, Sarah (born1798), Katie (born1801),and Angus (born1804) .Who did they marry and who were their children and grandchildren? I would like some information on Sarah MacKinnon who married John Mac Neill.Who were her parents and grandparents? I know that John's and Sarah's children were Annie (not married), Thomas (married Isabel MacKinnon), Murdock (married Mary MacDonald), Malcolm (not married), and Lauchlin Angus, (my great, greatgrandfather). Also I need some information on John's and Sarah's grandchildren. I do however know Murdock's and Mary's children's names. They were John, Angus, Thomas, James, Katie, Sarah, and Bessie Anne. Who were their children? I would appreciate any information you could contribute. Thank you very much for you considerations on this subject. I am researching the Budden's in particular a John Charles Budden B. 25 Nov. 1896 in Perry's Cove, Nfld. His parents were Thomas Budden & Martha Welsh. He died about 1928 apparently on the day of his wife's funersl. He married a girl by the last name of Carew who died in childbirth. They had 7 or 8 children. The baby was named Willhemina and was adopted as an infant by a Taylor Family. Her name may have been changed. She married a "McKenzie" from the Sydney area (what was called up the country). A cousin Melroy Budden from Florence visited her sometime in the late 1950's or early 1960's before he moved to Ontario. My great grandfather Edward & John Charles's father Thomas were brothers. My great grandfather Edward raised John Charles's brother George (Melroy's father) after the death of their mother. I have much info on the Budden Family but nothing on John Charles & his descendants. Would love to make contact with someone from his family. Win Desmond (Budden) Oshawa, Ontario .

Would anyone know the whereabouts of a Barbara McKillip who lived on Catherine St. in Sydney in 1953. She lived there with her mother and brother Kenzie. I believe that they moved to Santa Barbara, California that year to be near an older sister. I was a childhood friend of hers and would be interested in making contact with her.
