CHISHOLM, GILLIS posted by Flo Bursey on Wednesday, March 1, 2000

According to 1838-1841 census for Judique division, there is a william Chisholm listed as a farmer. This census only listed the head of the household. Later the 1871 census lists William as being 76 years of age and born in Scotland. His wife is listed as Julia, age 72. Their children are listed as follows: Allan, farmer ,31, Janet 21, Angus 24, and Mark 18. Sometime after 1871 Allan Marries Margaret Gillis and according to the 1881 census they have 4 children.According to family history Margaret Gillis's parents are Allan Gillis and Mary MAcEachern. I am from Allan Chisholm's line of the family. I am interested in Allan's Siblings and also where he and his parents may be birried. I am also interested in accessing church records for them and their families. Thanks. Flo Bursey 13 Tilley Place, Gander, Nfld. A1V 2P5
