MACLELLAN, MCKINNON, MCLELLAN posted by Anne Rector on Thursday, January 27, 2000

The maiden name of my GG Grandma....Anne McLellan. She was, according to the Family Bible, b. 1828 in Port Hastings, CB, and she married my GG Grandfather Allan McKinnon (b. 1816 of Scotland).....the wedding had to have occurred in her home community and so I'm trying to find out all I can for McLellans in that area for that time frame in hopes of a clue or connection that will spur me further down the trail. What's interesting is to speculate how did they meet. Did my McKinnon originate from Scotland and first to Cape Breton before we find him and Anne living in Petitcodiac NB-1861/Pictou County -1871 and finally Springhill 1874 on (all verified by records, the moving around was a result of work on the roads and specifically the Railway between Truro and Pictou during the mid to late 1860's). If anything re: my Anne McLellan clicks, maybe we have something to share. Alternately, if it's not too great an imposition, and you have CB McLellan general data (looks like you have) I'd love a look. When you have a moment and with great appreciation, I Thank you for taking time to entertain my query. Much Luck on your family trails! Cheers, Anne
