My Grandmother Anna Jessome was born in Little (Petit) Bras D'or Cape Breton NS around 1850. Her mother owned a large farm there. Her Uncles Patrick and William also had farms there. I believe she was a descendant of Jean Jessaume who came from France and was married to Marie Anne Fournier, but cannot fill in the people in between. She could have descended from Andrew (Jessaume) Jessome or one of Jean other sons. My Grandmother married Donald McLean and lived in Sidney Mines. If anyone has any more information I would be delighted to receive it.

James ADAIR, born about 1880, Sidney, N.S. married Freda MAJOR about 1905. Their children: James ADAIR, Major ADAIR and possible 3 or 4 more children. We think James and Freda ADAIR were killed in an accident as Major ADAIR (my husband's father) was orphaned at a very young age. Major ran away from the orphanage and made his way to Northern Ontario eventually, working in the mines, at a young age. Major was born in 1916.
