Am looking for information on parents of Edmond Martin Wall, born in SW Margarie, Cape Breton in 1859. Edmond's parents were to Patrick Wall and Mary Ryan. Two siblings that I know of are Michael and Margaret. Margaret married ? McKennon and remained in CB, Edmond and Michael moved to US, any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for the parents of my Great Grandfather GEORGE H. DICKSON. He was born in Prince Edward Island Aug 6, 1829. I believe the family may have moved to the Cape Breton area. GEORGE DICKSON later immigrated to Maine, married and died in Westport, Maine February 5th 1905. I have been unable to find any record of his parents.

Phillip McLeod married Sarah(Sadie)Sutherland,aug 15.1907 in Sydney.Phillip's parents were Phillip and Mary while Sadie's parents were John and Christie.I think Phillip and Sadie lived in Sydney Mines.Phillip is listed in the 1881 census for Boularderie living with his mother and brothers, Roderick,and John,and sisters Johanna,A.Mary,Catherine.Sadie was listed in the 1901 cenus for Glace Bay living with her parents and brother Neil. Please E-Mail me on any information on my grandfather, Willie Hilton Knight, and his family. Willie was born April 14, 1883 or 1885 in North Sydney, Cape Breton Island. He died in Berrien Springs, Michigan on November 29, 1967. His father's name was Alexander Knight who was born somewhere in England and lived on Cape Breton Island. Alexander died on board ship on his way back from a trip to England. Willie's mother's name was Florence McKennan (McKenna) (MacKinnon) who was born in Scotland, spoke gaelic, and died in 1937 on Cape Breton Island. I read the query from Dorothy Knight dated May 19, 1997, and tried to contact her using the given E-Mail address, but that address appears to be no longer valid. If you can provide me any information on Willie, and a telephone number or current E-Mail address for Dorothy Knight, I would be most appreciative. Dennis Knight

Donald MacAskill - Married to Ann ?. Son: Neil MacAskill-Married to Sarah Cameron. Donald and Ann were in Cape Breton. Neil and Sarah also came from Cape Breton, but wound up in Pictoe County. They were married in aug 1881 by Rev. R. Cumming. Neil and Sarah had the following children: Daniel, Kenneth, Alexander (Alex), Katherine, Mary and Sarah (sadie). My paternal grandmother's parents were married in Cow Bay, Cape Breton, N.S. in 1874. Her maiden names was Mary Gillis. They were Roman Catholics I think. She married Louis Brown. I know they were living in Ohio when my grandmother was born in 1877. I don't know anything about Mary Gillis other than there are family names of Angus Gillis and Michael Gillis and that she was from Nova Scotia. Any related info any one might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
