I am searching for the parents of Albert Edward Clements. He was married to Elizabeth lucy Boutilier on 30 May 1879 in Sydney, Cape Breton. He and Lucy left Nova Scotia and settled in Iowa. Seeking info on Michael MacLean, long time resident of Port Hood. Born c.1840, MacLean was a 12 year veteran of the American Army, and that country's civil war from 1861-1864. Returning to Cape Breton, he married Catherine MacDougall in 1870 and fathered 9 children before her death in 1887, aged 44 years. He married secondly, Mary MacDonald, the daughter of 'Domnuld MacAilein', and who gave him 3 more children. A fisherman, farmer, and army pensioner, he perished between 1901 and 1907. Issue: John Laughlin, Mary, Catherine Ann, Laughlin, Angus, Annie Belle, Sarah, Neil Francis, Mary Sarah, Joseph Alexander from his first marriage; Donald F., Catherine Isabel, and John Ranald from his second.
