I am looking for information on Eric Hedger, my ggg-grandfather, who jumped ship about 1805 and changed his last name to Miller. He settled in Higgins Settlement and married a girl, M. Higgins. They had 9 or 10 children. My grandfather was Fairbanks Douglas Miller but that is all the info. that I have.

I've been researching my MUSGRAVE, MOORE & SPARLING connections in Cape Breton. My 2n Great-Grandfather Thomas Francis MOORE, son of Adam & Margaret (SPARLING) was b. July 14, 1814 d. August 15, 1896. He mar. Maria MUSGRAVE Jan. 12, 1838. She is the dau. of John. They had a dau. Eliza Comia MOORE b. Aug. 22, 1861 in Cape Breton. She went to Cape Cod, Massachusetts as a teen to visit her uncle, George and met and mar. William Francis Snow. Would like to hear from others.

PARKER, John (Ensign) died May 17, 1746 Louisburg, Cape Breton, NS. He was born 1696 Saybrook, CT; wife, Mary Chapman who died 1743 in CT. I don't know if Ensign PARKER died in battle or of illness.....or maybe he resided in Nova Scotia before his death. Where would he be buried? jfrance@pe.net

DeJeet family came from Belgium c1912 and settled in Reserve Gerard family came from Belgium c1912 and settled in NewWaterford. There may be a Arthur Gerard living, while DeJeet still live in Glace Bay.

Lizzie Donovan was born and raised in Ingonish, do not know who her parents and/or siblings were. She married Capt. John Martin and resided in Dartmouth. He died in 1906?by drowning in Halifax Hrbr. She died in 1932. Leaving 8 kids.........Margaret (my gmother), Hannah, Lena, Agatha, Clara, John, Marion, Nora.... I do know that Lizzie rec'd a stipend from the gov. until she died approx 30$ year, this was from the sales of lands in Ingonish to the gov.....Ingonish Beach? ******

Am starting a search for my great grandfather. Gardiner Morrison was born North River, NS on 25 April, 1840. Married Sarah Ridpath of North River on 24 September, 1867. The Rev. H.B. Mackay performed the nuptials. Sarah was born 17 July, 1845 in North River, also. Both appear on 1870 State of Wisconsin census.
