I am looking for information regarding the Beaton family, specifically Samuel Beaton, who arrived in Big Baddeck in 1840 from the Isle of Skye. I have no birthdate/death date on him. He brought with him his son, also named Sameul.(1830-1917) If I could pin down the birthdate and place of the elder, I could continue my search.

I am looking for any information about James Grace who died around 1969 and was buried in Louisburg. He was married to Sarah (Sadie) Burke and had two daughters, Darlene and Kelly. He died of stomach cancer and had diabetes. He worked for the Hydro company as an electrician or "pole man". I have been trying to find out the exact date of his birth, death and other members of his family, actually my family, because he was my father. If you knew who he was and can tell me anything about him, please let me know, any pictures would also be greatly appreciated by both me and my sister. We only have one picture of him and it is not a clear picture of his face. Please help... if you can.

My paternal grandfather, William Daniel MACDONALD, was born 15 October, 1877, in Sydney, Cape Breton. He was the son of William Donald MACDONALD, born 1840 in Edinburgh, Scotland. William Daniel moved to Boston about 1895. He had a brother Angus, who worked in the coal mines and lost a leg in an accident at the mines in Springhill, Nova Scotia. Any relatives or family information available? I would be happy to swap information with you.
