GOOGOO, GOULD, KNOCKWOOD posted by Louis Daley on Tuesday, March 10, 1998

Dear Sirs,
I am currently teaching Prince Edward Island History at Morell Regional High School in Morell P. E. I.
One of my students has few ancestors here and I am attempting to help him trace his ancestry in Whycocomagh and in the Boston area.
My student's name is Gerard Gould, son of Roderick Gould and Donna Lynch. Roderick's father was Peter Gould of Wycocomaugh and was married to Mary Knockwood of P.E.I. Peter, born Wycocomaugh, died in 1974 in Whycocomagh and his wife Mary Knockwood died in the Boston area in 1970. She had been born in 1920 and was thus 50 ish when she died. We don't know when Peter was born. Peter Gould's father was Joseph Gould born 1886 d. 1952 in Cape Breton, probably in Whycocomaugh. Peter's mohter was Annie Mae GooGoo b. 1893 d. 1942.
Joseph Gould's father was Andrew Gould and his mother was Mary Sylliboy. Presumably they lived in the Whycocomaugh area as well.
Any help or direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,Louis J. Daley, Teacher
