BOUDREAU, LAMBERT, REID, TIMMONS, WILLIAMS posted by kim swanson (nee TIMMONS on Friday, July 4, 1997

Both my mom and dad's families come from Cape Breton and so there are many names I am interested in. First I will start with the TIMMONS name, they come from Pleasant Bay, C.B., my great-grandfather's name was ALEC MURRY TIMMONS and he married ISABEL JANE FRASER and both lived in PLEASANT BAY. They had one son, KENNETH ALEXANDER TIMMONS who was born July 15, 1920. Isabel was born October 15, 1900 and died August 27, 1983. I do not know when Alec was born but he died the spring of 1978. He lived in Hamilton, Ontario for many years and returned after his wife died, I believe. Kenny now resides in New Waterford.
The WILLIAMS family is from Ingonish, my grandmother name is Celeste TIMMONS (WILLIAMS), she is from Ingonish. Her father's name was George W. WILLIAMS and he married Mary Josephine LAMBERT. He was born in 1892 and died in 1965 and Mary was born in 1900 and died in 1970. Her father's name is LOUIS LAMBERT and that's the end of my information. Mary was born in ST. PIERRE ET MIQUELON. George Williams was born to JOSEPH AND CHRISTENE WILLIAMS. NO DATES.
KENNETH FRASER was the father of ISABEL FRASER, her siblings are SADIE MAE, AUSTIN, LEO, DUNCAN AND DONALD STANLEY. I know that SADIE DIED IN 1985.
REID FAMIY-Great-grandfather is George Samuel REID and he married MARY ALICE BOUDREAU. He was born in 1890, PETITES, NEWFOUNDLAND and she was born in 1896 in MARTINIQUE RICHMOND COUNTY, C.B. and died in 1979. GEORGE'S parents were RICHARD JOSEPH REID AND LUCRETIA WHITE. He was born in 1860 in Marystown, Newfoundland and his date of death is unknown. His parents were JOSEPH REID AND BEATRICE NEWMAN, BOTH BORN IN ENGLAND, he died in 1859 or 1860 and she died in childbirth in 1860. Lucretia WHITE was born in 1870 in Petites NFL and died in 1936. Richard and Lucretia's children: Charles William, George Samuel, Joseph Richard, Frederick John, Albert Henry and Percival.
BOUDREAU Mary's parents are GERALD DESIRE BOUDREAU AND JULIA MCPHEE, NO INFORMATION ON THEM.
I HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS A CONNECTION TO ONE OF THESE FAMILIES. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. KIM

JOHN, MACKENZIE posted by Donna E. B. Wright on Monday, July 7, 1997

I'm looking for information on an ancestor of mine. He was commissioned by the King to bring people from Scotland to Nova Scotia aboard his boat Hector (?) landing in Pictou (?) these people would possibly be some of the first Scottish settlers in Nova Scotia. The Captain was given a large amount of land by the King for this service and he sold it in small parts to his children later. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would be very thankful for any corrections or additions that could be made to my information.
